Kaitlyn is a native of Bloomington, IL. She began her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner in November 2021 caring for patients of all ages in a local primary care setting. She is thrilled to be returning to BPC as a full-time Nurse Practitioner. Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her husband Austin and two dogs, reading, and watching TV. Her special interest areas include mental health, women’s health, pediatrics, and preventive medicine.

Katelynne (Kates) was born and raised in Springfield, IL. She has been a nurse for more than 10 years, and has worked in a variety of settings including labor and delivery, pediatrics, and family medicine. She joined BPC as a provider in 2020 and works with a wide variety of patients and families. Kates has a strong foundation in working with the pediatric population and significant background in women's health, but Kates' special interest lies in treating and counseling neurodivergent individuals and families. Kates has compassion and understanding of the unique needs of neurodiverse patients and family units and strives to provide affirming and individualized care that is based on shared decision making and creative problem solving.

Kates spends her time away from work keeping her two children and husband alive which is easier some days than others. She spends her free time indulging in a wide variety of artistic and nerdy hobbies, on her pilates reformer, or entertaining people with bad jokes.

Dr. Forney was born and raised on a small farm in nearby Brimfield, Illinois. He developed his interest in medicine as a volunteer on the local fire department. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, the great outdoors, and furnishing his home with his woodworking projects. Dr. Forney is excited to continue serving the community as he completed his family medicine training here in Bloomington-Normal.

Kim Bankston is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience and a deep commitment to whole-person care. She provides compassionate, lifelong healthcare for patients of all ages, blending clinical expertise with empathy and personal insight. Her approach is shaped not just by her professional expertise, but also by her personal experiences in caring for her children and aging parents—insights that infuse her work with compassion and understanding.

Kim takes pride in building meaningful connections with her patients, making them feel truly seen, heard, and supported. She brings strong community roots and a genuine sense of care to every patient relationship.

Kim has called Bloomington/Normal home since her college years, where she met her husband Tony. Together, they’ve raised four daughters in the community. Outside of her practice, she enjoys mentoring future healthcare providers, staying active, and curling up with a good book.

Ms. Scanlon joined Bloomington Primary Care September 2010 as CNP. In collaboration with Dr. Pilcher, she is responsible for obtaining histories, performing physical exams, diagnosing illnesses and prescribing meds & treatments, and providing procedures such as pelvic exams, simple incision and drainage of cysts and other medical procedures. Betty enjoys spending time with her husband and three teenagers, hiking with her sisters, and plays a mean keyboard.
